A Visual Poem

I wrote this poem many years ago at a low point in time. It started out as the first 7 lines. Some time later I went back at a higher point in my life, and added the rest. As a whole, its decent, but I still like the look/feel of just the first 7 lines.

Winter and Cold,
extinguish the
Flame from a candle,
like
Distance and Time,
extinguish
Love from a heart,
But,
Trust and Faith,
keep
Passion's embers buring,
to re-ignite the
Flame,
in
Summer and Warmth,
as well as
Love,
through
Closeness and Affection.

The poem isn't showing like I type it.. You will have to imagine ever 2nd line being tabbed over past the end of the preceding line.

The Other Thing

Well, it's been cold and wintry, so I've been doing what most large, warm-loving creatures do... hibernating. That means I've ignored this site. I have however torn down my engine, and determined the problem to lie in the heads. The problem being worn valve guides, and/or improperly sealing valves. Thank to my best friend he gave me a set of 302 heads gratis. (Thanks a ton!) In order to make the 302 heads work on the 351W engine, the head bolt holes have to be bored out, as the head bolt for a 351 is larger than a 302. Generally this would be no problem, except that the friend who has the drill press I need to borrow is seldom available. I have bored the holes out to 1/2 inch, but they need to be just a tad larger, so have to wait for the friend to be available again. Keep your fingers crossed that it wont take too much longer, then I can start re-assembling the engine.

It's Finally Here!!!

For those of you who don't yet know, I am a warm blooded, hot natured creature who abhors cold weather. Well, 4 days ago was the first day of Spring. Usually on that day I remove the hard top and doors from my Jeep Wrangler. It finally feels like Spring. I unfortunately have not been able to remove the winter wrappings from my Jeep, as I am still carrying around the stupid heads in my Jeep waiting on my friend and his drill press. Keep your fingers crossed for me that this happens soon, because I am going stir crazy waiting to feel the wind through my hair (pardon the cliche'). It's time for shorts, tans, and the beach!!!!!!
